Story Behind Rise Foundation

The Shefali Jariwala Rise Foundation was born from a dream, a promise, and a deep sense of purpose. Shefali Jariwala, lovingly known as Pari, believed strongly in empowering girls through education and creating opportunities for women to lead independent lives. Although she had planned to bring this vision to life in 2026, her journey ended sooner than expected—but her dream continues to live on. After her passing, her husband, Parag Tyagi, turned that dream into reality, establishing the foundation to carry forward her vision. Today, the foundation is dedicated to supporting underprivileged girls through education, care, mentorship, and emotional support, helping them build confident, independent futures.

“She was called Pari. Today, her dream helps every girl rise.”

OUR VISION

Our vision is to create a society where every girl, regardless of her background or circumstances, has equal access to quality education, dignity, and opportunities to grow. We aim to empower girls to become confident, self-reliant, and capable individuals who can shape their own futures and contribute meaningfully to society.

  • Every girl has access to quality education without financial or social barriers
  • Girls grow in an environment of dignity, safety, and respect
  • Women are empowered to become financially independent and self-reliant
  • Equal opportunities are available for girls to learn, lead, and succeed
  • Communities actively support and encourage girls’ education and empowerment

She believed that every girl deserves a chance to learn and grow.

Letter From The Founder

Dear Friends,

Life sometimes takes us through journeys we never imagine. My wife, Shefali Jariwala, whom I lovingly called Pari, was known to the world as an artist, a performer, and a strong personality, but to those who knew her closely, she was a deeply compassionate human being. Beyond the lights, cameras, and the world of entertainment, she carried a simple yet powerful dream in her heart — to give back to society. She often spoke about creating a foundation dedicated to girls’ education and women’s empowerment, believing that education is the strongest tool to change a girl’s life and, through her, the future of an entire family. Her wish was to bring this vision to life in 2026, but life took an unexpected turn. When she left this physical world, a part of my life went with her, and in that silence and grief, one thought stayed with me — her dream should not remain incomplete. The Rise Foundation was born from that promise. It is not just an organization, but a continuation of her compassion, her belief in humanity, and her faith that every girl deserves a chance to rise. Through this foundation, we strive to support education, opportunity, and empowerment for girls and women, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. Every life we touch carries a piece of her dream forward. This foundation is my way of keeping her light alive, and together, I hope we can build a future where every girl has the opportunity to learn, grow, and become the best version of herself.
